Basic Endodontics: From Access to Obturation
This foundational course is designed to equip practitioners with the core clinical knowledge and hands-on skills required for successful root canal therapy. The curriculum systematically covers essential topics, including root canal morphology, proper armamentarium, working length determination (radiographic and apex locators), and thorough canal disinfection. Through detailed demonstrations and hands-on sessions, participants will gain confidence in access opening, cleaning and shaping, various obturation techniques, and fundamental post-endo management and restoration.
What You Will Learn
- Anatomy & Armamentarium: Understand root canal morphology and identify essential endodontic tools.
- Access & Diagnosis: Master accurate diagnosis and proper access preparation techniques.
- Working Length: Determine precise working length using radiographic and apex locator methods.
- Cleaning & Shaping: Execute effective protocols for canal cleaning and shaping.
- Disinfection: Select and apply appropriate irrigants and medicaments for thorough canal disinfection.
- Obturation: Gain proficiency in obturation techniques (Lateral Condensation and Single Cone).
- Post-Endo Restoration: Understand Core Build Up principles and post-endodontic restorative management.
- Hands-on Skills: Practice access opening, shaping, obturation, and post-endo restoration during practical sessions.
